The house was built in 1930 and has become the center of various styles over the years. Even now, with the use of an eclectic style, we get that feeling of harmonious chaos. However, it’s the mid-century feel to it that truly captures our attention. The nature elements, to the mix of materials, the open layout and refined furniture pieces.

Let’s find out more about this house and the interior designer behind this interior renovation.

It was two years ago that Alex Pall from Grammy-winning DJ duo, The Chainsmokers, bought the house and decided on a complete renovation of its interior design. And who better to take on this project than professional interior designer Peti Lau?

She took on this challenge with her own style – AristoFreak – and brought her vision inside this house through mixing different styles and colors with the contemporary art collection of the owner, creating a unique identity to the spaces that we can’t help but love.

It’s impossible not to be obsessed over the eclectic interior design of this house. The variety of styles, from the tropical patterns in the living room to a more romantic feel to the master bedroom, is certainly a source of inspiration to anyone who sees it. Of course, it was in this bold, colorful and outstanding living room that Alex Pall decided to place his Grammy on display.

What really set the tone for the entire living room design was Alex Pall’s family art piece that was chosen as the central piece of the room and what dictated the color palette and overall look of this space. Going with Benjamin Moore’s Polo Blue for the walls to create a statement in this bold living room, and “a sense of sexiness and masculinity,” as the designer so well put it, choosing a piece to go with it and that would be a key space in this living room was easy for this designer and The Chainsmokers’ DJ.

The mid-century sabot lets, the brass circle scale just worked so perfectly with the natural stones and was a perfect place for that piece. Great spot to showcase the Grammy!” said interior designer Peti Lau.

Choosing Essential Home’s ‘Monocles‘ Sideboard seemed to be quite an easy task and we can understand why. As Peti Lau so well pointed out “wooden sculpture and the little dry air plants and succulents brought the outdoor to indoor contrast to the brash and shine of the credenza.”

Alex Pall was always very much involved in the process and in giving an idea of what he wanted for his house. He clearly stated he wanted something cool and sexy, and Peti Lau didn’t think twice when choosing this piece. According to her, “this was the perfect mid-century inspired piece to use as the elements of chic and sexy.”  We can see the Grammy displayed beautifully on this piece, next to some vintage decor candle holders that were the finishing touch to this whole design.
