Today is the day of our signature “Living Room Inspiration“. Last year, Dixon was on the lookout for a new apartment, one that could house low-key mornings and evenings entertaining friends, and found it in Stuyvesant Heights, the landmark leafy section of Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy neighborhood. With plenty of natural light, the south-facing space was retreat-ready. The wood trim and hand-carved doors, a stunning surprise upon entering the space, counteract some of the brightness the tall windows supply. So Dixon grounded the space by using a subdued palette and deliberate accents: levity achieved.

The natural light and wood trim of this Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, apartment hooked TRNK cofounder Tariq Dixon immediately: “I fell in love when I saw it.”
The room’s signature: a mirror encased in a hand-carved wood trim. The smoky glass vase is by Theresa Arns for Copenhagen design firm Menu.
