An event that boosts European design & craftsmanship? We’re all for it!
Organised by the leading Swiss-based entity, Michelangelo Foundation, Homo Faber is an event that will take place from 14-30 September. Dedicated to the fine arts, design and craftsmanship, this event is the perfect choice to attend if you’re into the design world.
Homo Faber is an event that has as its mission to put fine craftsmanship in the eyes of the world, as well as give well deserved recognition to master artisans and the rare artisanal techniques to prevent them from being forgotten, and to pass that knowledge to new artisans.
This event will take place in numerous historical and architectural spaces throughout the Fondazione Giorgio Cini (an international cultural centre in the island of San Giorgio Maggiore) and it’s to be expected a wide variety of arts and disciplines, exquisite pieces, innovative installations, as well as artisans working live on their respective arts, to be showcased. Certainly an exciting event for design and craftsmanship lovers and admirers.
Visitors will be able to see the rare craft techniques being worked in real time by artisans and speak to them about their craft, as well as virtually enter the ateliers of the masters among other aspects of this fascinating design and craftsmanship world.
It’s an event that you surely can’t miss!
